DAY TO DAY ITINERARY:

Day 1 & 2 – VICTORIA FALLS
Arrival in Victoria Falls and transfer to your accommodation. Relax after the long flight or visit the gigantic falls, called “Mosi-oa-Tunya” by the local people – “the smoke that thunders”. We recommend the “Flight of Angels” helicopter ride for an aerial view of the falls. For the more adventurous at heart, there are many great adrenaline pumping activities like river rafting and bungee jumping.
Day 3 & 4 – KASANE & CHOBE NATIONAL PARK
A shuttle will transfer you over the border to Kasane in Botswana, situated on the well-known floodplains of the Chobe River. Game drives into the Chobe National Park as well as boat cruises morning or afternoon are highly recommended – nowhere else in Africa will you see so many different animals and birds. Known as well for huge herds of elephants. Your hire vehicle will be delivered here for the start of the self-drive the next morning.
Day 5 & 6 – NATA
Continue via tar road to Nata. Visit the famous Nata Bird Sanctuary. Enjoy a quad-bike tour or nature drive in the Makgakdigadi Salt Pans.
Day 7 & 8 – BOTETI
Continue onwards towards Maun to Motopi then south past the village of Khumaga to the Boteti River on the western side of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. The drive along the edge of the Boteti River is an amazing experience. You will see elephants, zebra, giraffes, hippopotami, and many other animals up close. A small paradise much quieter in terms of traffic compared to the Chobe floodplains.
Day 9 – MAUN
The journey heads back north to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. You can book a scenic flight over the delta (departs hourly). You will drop your hire vehicle here.
Day 10 & 11– MOREMI NATIONAL PARK
Start of the guided mobile safari. Your guide will collect you in an open game drive vehicle and the safari starts into the Moremi National Park via South Gate. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Moremi National Park in the Xakanaxa area.
Day 12 & 13 – KHWAI CONCESSION
The safari heads further north via Dombo Hippo Pools to the Khwai Concession on the northern border of Moremi National Park. Spend the next two days and nights here enjoying morning and afternoon game drives. One of Dieter’s favorite places!
Day 14 & 15 – SAVUTI IN CHOBE NATIONAL PARK
Continue to the Savuti Marsh in the remote part of the Chobe National Park. You will also have the chance to visit the San Rock art in the area. Savuti is famous for predator cats.
Day 16 – KASANE
The journey continues through the Chobe National Park and Chobe Forest Reserve to Kasane. The guided tour ends here. You can enjoy another boat cruise in the afternoon if time permits.
Day 17 – DEPARTURE
A shuttle will transfer you to the Victoria Falls airport for your flight home in the afternoon/evening.
