DAY TO DAY ITINERARY:

Day 1 – WINDHOEK
Arrival in Windhoek, collection of hire vehicle, see the city or just relax after the long flight.
Day 2 – SPITZKOPPE and/or ERONGO MOUNTAINS
Head west to the Spitzkoppe Mountain, Namibia’s Matterhorn.  Or continue a short distance further into the Erongo Mountain, home to the San Bushmen.
Day 3 – TWYFELFONTEIN
Visit the San Bushmen, then head past the Brandberg Mountain to the Twyfelfontein area in Damaraland. Visit the World Heritage Twyfelfontein rock engravings in the afternoon or the next morning.
Day 4 – KHOWARIB CANYON
Head north to the Khowarib Canyon on the border of the Kaokoland. Enjoy a walk in the canyon.  This will be the starting point for your guided self-drive excursion deeper into Kaokoland and Damaraland.
Day 5 & 6 – PUROS & HOARUSIB VALLEY
Your guide will meet you at Sesfontein or Khowarib.  From there you will travel via the Giribis plains with its mysterious fairy circles to Puros. Enjoy leisurely game drives in the Hoarusib Valley.  Visit the Herero settlement at Puros and possibly a nearby village of the nomadic Himba people of northwest Namibia.
Day 7 & 8 – HOANIB VALLEY
Your guide will lead you along lesser known roads over mountain passes south into the Hoanib valley. Spend the day in the Hoanib valley in search of the desert adapted elephant, giraffe and other wildlife in this remote dry riverbed habitat.  One of our favorite places!
Day 9  & 10 – PALMWAG CONCESSION
The journey continues via the Mudorib valley into the remote western part of the Palmwag Concession close to the Skeleton Coast Park. Spend the day exploring the various springs and desolate valleys searching for the elusive black rhino and other desert adapted animals and plants.
Day 11 – GROOTBERG
Head via the eastern part of the concession to Palmwag.  This is where the guided part of the tour will end.  Continue a short distance further to the Grootberg Plateau with stunning view over the Klip Rivier valley.
Day 12 & 13 – MOUNT ETJO or ERINDI
Your journey heads back southeast to a private game reserve en route to Windhoek. Enjoy a variety of activities offered at the lodge, or just relax at the pool to end off your adventure in a leisurely fashion.
Day 14 – WINDHOEK or SURROUNDS
Head back to Windhoek.  Enjoy a last night in the city or possibly a lodge or farm in the surrounding area for a last “safari” atmosphere.
Day 15 – RETURN TO WINDHOEK & DEPARTURE
Transfer to the airport (early morning onwards) for your flight home
