DAY TO DAY ITINERARY:

Day 1 – WINDHOEK
Arrival in Windhoek, collection of hire vehicle, see the city or just relax after the long flight.
Day 2 & 3 – KALAHARI DESERT
Within a few hours you will reach the western ridges/foothills of the beautiful Kalahari sand dunes landscape. Enjoy a variety of activities here including guided walks and game drives.
Day 4 – QUIVER TREE & MESOSAURUS FOSSILS
Head further south to the Keetmanshoop area.  Fascinating fossils, a quiver tree forest and a dolorite landscape can all be experienced here.
Day 5 & 6 – FISH RIVER CANYON
Continue a short distance southwest to the Fish River Canyon, the world’s second largest after the Grand Canyon in the USA. Enjoy guided hiking down into the canyon, guided drives and nature walks.
Day 7 – TIRAS MOUNTAINS
Head via Aus with short detour to spot the wild horse of the Namib at Garieb, then north into the Tiras Mountains.  Enjoy a guided walk to discover the fauna and flora of this biosphere.
Day 8 & 9 – TOK TOKKIE TRAILS
A few hours drive brings you to the meeting point of the Tok Tokkie Trails – a fully guided 3-day, 2-night camping hike in the NamibRand Nature Reserve. Whilst walking, you will discover many secrets of the Namib that cannot be experienced when driving and you will get to feel different aspects of the desert – from mountainous terrain to sandy dunes.
Day 10 & 11 – SESRIEM & SOSSUSVLEI
Your journey heads north towards Sesriem. Enjoy the spectacular sunset over the Naukluft Mountains. Visit the World Heritage Sossusvlei, Dead Vlei and the Sesriem Canyon.  Scenic flights, quad-biking, hot air ballooning, are also available to enjoy here.
Day 12 & 13 – NAMIB DESERT
Travel north via Solitaire to the pro-Namib desert, home to meerkats and other desert-adapted animals. Enjoy hiking trails and nature drives.  Or relax with a view over the endless desert vista.
Day 14 -16 – SWAKOPMUND
Continue onwards to the coastal town of Swakopmund, known for its great restaurants and cafés. Enjoy a variety of educational and/or adrenaline packed activities, such as the living desert tour, dolphin and seal cruise, historical town tour, cultural township tours, quad-biking, sandboarding and more. Swakopmund is truly a hub for adventurers and explorers!
Day 17 – RETURN TO WINDHOEK & DEPARTURE
Assuming afternoon or evening departures.
