DAY TO DAY ITINERARY:

Day 1 – WINDHOEK
Arrival in Windhoek, collection of hire vehicle, see the city or just relax after the long flight
Day 2 & 3 – KALAHARI DESERT
Within a few hours you will reach the western ridges/foothills of the beautiful Kalahari sand dunes landscape. Enjoy a variety of activities here including guided walks and game drives.
Day 4 & 5 – SESRIEM & SOSSUSVLEI
Your journey heads west towards Sesriem. Enjoy the spectacular sunset over the Naukluft Mountains. Visit Sossusvlei, Dead Vlei and the Sesriem Canyon.  Scenic flights, quadbiking, hot air ballooning are also available to enjoy here.
Day 6 – NAMIB DESERT
Travel north via Solitaire to the pro-Namib desert. Another great location for enjoying walking trails.
Day 7 & 8 – SWAKOPMUND
Continue onwards to the coastal town of Swakopmund, known for its great restaurants and cafés. Enjoy a variety of educational and/or adrenaline packed activities, such as the living desert tour, dolphin and seal cruise, historical town tour, cultural township tours, quad-biking, sandboarding and more. Swakopmund is truly a hub for adventurers and explorers!
Day 9 – SPITZKOPPE and/or ERONGO MOUNTAINS
After possible morning activity, head inland to the Spitzkoppe Mountain, Namibia’s Matterhorn.  Or continue a short distance further into the Erongo Mountain, home to the San Bushmen.
Day 10 – TWYFELFONTEIN
Visit the San Bushmen, then head past the Brandberg Mountain to the Twyfelfontein in Damaraland. Visit the World Heritage Twyfelfontein rock engravings in the afternoon or the next morning.
Day 11 – PALMWAG CONCESSION or GROOTBERG
Just a short way further north, enjoy a unique Under Canvas sleepout experience in the Palmwag Concession (guided tour, all equipment provided).  Alternative – enjoy the stunning view over the Klip Rivier valley from the Grootberg plateau.
Day 12 & 13 – KHOWARIB CANYON & HOANIB VALLEY
Head north to the Khowarib Canyon on the border of Kaokoland. Enjoy a walk in the canyon. We recommend a guided tour into the Hoanib valley in search of the desert adapted elephant, giraffe and other wildlife in this remote dry riverbed habitat.  One of our favourite places!
Day 14 & 15 – HOBATERE CONCESSION
Your journey heads back south and then over the Grootberg Pass to the game rich Hobatere Concession near the westernmost gate of the Etosha National Park. The lodge offers a range of activities including game drives and bush walks.  A great experience is the Boma dinner followed by the night drive in search of the nocturnal creatures.
Day 16 – WESTERN ETOSHA NP
Enter the park via Galton Gate and enjoy a leisurely drive through the previously closed western part of Etosha to Andersson Gate.
Day 17 & 18– CENTRAL  & EASTERN ETOSHA NP
Continue through the central to eastern part of Etosha National Park from Andersson to Von Lindequist Gate.  Plan stops along the way at the popular waterholes and Halali Restcamp. There are quite a few good waterholes around the Namutoni area where you have a good chance of seeing a large amount of game. We recommend an early morning drive for possible predator sightings.
Day 19 & 20 – WATERBERG PLATEAU
Head towards the beautiful red sandstone cliffs of the Waterberg Plateau.  Along the way you can visit Lake Otjikoto, Tsumeb mining museum, and the Hoba Meteorite. Enjoy a guided hiking trail up to the Plateau Park or follow unguided trails in the valley below.  Also possible is an afternoon rhino drive, and a Herero cultural visit (weekdays only).
Day 21 – RETURN TO WINDHOEK & DEPARTURE
Assuming afternoon or evening departures.
